              Who traveled more and by how much?

         sol  Distance covered by Rahul = AB + BC

                                                               =  7.5 +12.7  = 20.2 km

              Distance covered by Amit = AD + DC

                                                           =   9.3 + 11.8  =  21.1 km

           Amit covered more distance by =  21.1 —  20.2 = 0.9 km Answer

        Q8)  Shyama bought 5kg 300g Apples and 3kg 250g mangoes. Sarla bought 

                4 kg 800g oranges and 4kg 150g bananas. who bought more fruits?

           sol  Fruits bought by Shyama = 5kg 300g + 3kg 250g

                                                              =  8kg 550g

                                                              =  (8 + 550/1000) kg

                                                               =  ( 8 + 0.550 ) kg

                                                               =  8.550 kg 

              Fruits bought by Sarla  =  4kg 800g + 4 kg 150g

                                                       = 8kg 950g

                                                        =  ( 8 + 950 /1000) kg

                                                        =  ( 8 + 0.950 ) kg 

                                                        = 8.950 kg

                                             so,  8.950  >  8.550

             Q9)  What is the difference in distance between 28 km and 42.6 km?
